What You Will See in This Step-by-Step Tutorial
The video covers essential steps: Onboarding and subscription, calendar synchronization, setting up pricing, costs, extra guests, media insertion, and template selection.
1. Main Dashboard
Upon logging in, the Lestis main dashboard is divided into two sections:
- Left column: Lists already created properties; each entry includes a direct link to the respective website.
- Right column: Displays the booking summary, with details on currently staying guests and arrivals scheduled for the next seven days.
At the top, there is a switch to change the mode between Light and Dark.
Initial action: To insert a new property, use the "Add a property" button, which opens the configuration form.
2. New Property Configuration
The following fundamental data must be entered in the creation form:
- Type: Choose between "Entire apartment" or "Rentable units" (for properties with multiple rooms or independent units at the same address).
- Site URL: This is the property's web address. It is auto-generated based on the name and city but can be customized (for example, by removing hyphens). Please note: Once the property is saved, the URL can no longer be modified.
- Legal Data: The business name and legal address must be entered in the bottom part of the form. This data will be automatically displayed in the website footer and the Privacy Policy.
3. Internal Property Management
By clicking on an existing property, you access its specific dashboard.
Operating Modes
The system adapts automatically based on the data entered:
- Showcase: Active by default if there are no rentable units. The site only displays information without a booking engine.
- Booking Requests: Activated by adding at least one rentable unit. The booking engine appears to allow guests to send requests via email.
- Direct Payments: Activated by connecting a Stripe account. The request form is replaced by a checkout for immediate payments (deposit or total).
4. Customization and Content
In the property dashboard, the menu offers several customization options:
- Languages: This is the first section to configure. Adding languages enables the ability to add text content.
- Appearance and Brand: Allows you to change the template, upload the logo, favicon, and background image. You can modify fonts and colors. Every saved change is visible in real-time on the site.
- External Links and Social: Section dedicated to linking social profiles or portals like Airbnb and Booking.com (essential for user trust and SEO).
- Pages: Here you manage the texts for the Home Page and other pages (up to 8). The editor allows the use of bold text, headings (H1 recommended for SEO), and the insertion of custom HTML code or widgets (such as Google Maps).
5. Rentable Units Management
In this section, you define the technical details of the accommodation:
- Prices and Rules: Set a base daily price, capacity (adults/children), minimum/maximum nights, and the advance notice days required to book.
- Synchronization (iCal): Essential to avoid overbooking. You copy the Lestis iCal link into external portals (Booking, Airbnb) and paste the portal links into the Lestis dashboard for two-way synchronization.
- Advanced Rules: These allow you to override the base price for specific periods (e.g., summer) or set fixed check-in days (e.g., only on Mondays).
- Discounts and Costs: You can configure percentage or fixed discounts (weekly/monthly) and add extra costs such as cleaning or tourist tax.
- Additional Services: Ability to offer extras like breakfast or airport transfers directly in the checkout.
6. Optimization and Requests
- Lestis Score: At the top of the property dashboard, there is an optimization score. By clicking it, the system provides suggestions on how to improve the site for guests and search engines.
- Booking Flow: The guest selects dates on the site; if available, they fill out the form with their details. Upon sending the request, the owner receives a notification via email and on the Lestis app, allowing them to respond directly to the customer.
